Greetings from the Philippine Sport Climbing Community! On September 20-21, 2008, the Mall of Asia in Manila will be hosting its most awaited climbing event of the year --- the “Purisho Internacionale Bouldering Competition”. For the past 3 years, the Purisho Cup has remained the most exciting bouldering competition in the Philippines, consistently challenging the strength, power and determination of every Filipino sport climber. With the skill, strength and technique of our national climbers improving by leaps and bounds, the Purisho Cup now brings the level of competition to the global arena. This year, the Philippines opens its doors to invite climbers all over Asia to participate in this event. The following countries are expected to participate: Singapore For 2 days, competitors will climb at least 3 bouldering routes per round of competition. Standard ICC rules will apply. Aside from the OPEN category where we will see the best of Asia compete, we will also be holding a NOVICE competition where climbers who have not joined their respective national climbing circuits are encouraged to join. A registration fee of $25 USD will be charged for each participant. We would like to invite you to send your athletes to participate in this event. Your participation will surely make a great contribution to the growth of climbing in Asia and the fostering of brotherhood among our nation’s athletes. We will send other details when the date of the event draws nearer. For any questions, you may contact the following: BEAU DELA CRUZ (Tournament Director) – (+63917-6036630)
